Path Manager
Beginner's Guide to Moicon
What does this article cover?
Path Manager is used to make a path that carries information value. The path can be used for many tasks, such as gemba walk, material flow or for employee training.
Material flow is the description of the transportation of raw materials, pre-fabricates, parts, components, integrated objects, and final products as a flow of entities.
Gemba walking, or the presence of managers at their subordinates workstations. This enables them to, among other things, identify and eliminate waste, gain a better understanding of the company's processes, participate in continuous improvement activities, monitor compliance with health and safety rules, and build relationships and motivate employees.
Create Path
After selecting Create path, a record will be created with the given timestamp name.
Place points in the model viewport
Merge Paths
Merge allows you to connect two tracks.
After selecting the target path, press Merge. The vertexes of the remaining visible paths will be visible, then select a desired vertex of the second path to connect both.
Properties
Select a Path record, the dialog allows you to change properties:
Name: When naming your Path, give it a name that will make it easy to find.
Active: Make path visible on viewport.
Length: Indicates the path length.
Interpolation: Choose whether angles should be Smooth or Linear
Radius: Set thickness of the path.
Color: Set color of the path.
Kiosk: The play and stop button handles the movement of the camera along the path. You can set the speed, height and cycling of camera.
Animation: The play and stop button handles the animation of the path. You can set the speed and cycling of animation.
Actions:
Edit: add/erase vertexes
Merge: merge two chosen paths
Reverse: reverse direction of the path
Delete: delete path
Kiosk
The kiosk is a useful tool for creating an overview of a building using camera raids. By accessing the kiosk, users can control the height and speed of the camera, stop and resume the raid, and get a clear view of different parts of the building.
With the help of the kiosk, users can capture high-quality images and videos of the building's interior and exterior, including areas such as roofs and upper floors.
Path Walk
To maintain a first-person camera use Path walk mode.
Fixed Target
To maintain camera's focus point use fixed target mode.
Per-vertex
To set the camera to change according to a given path vertex select edit mode.
Select a given vertex, then change path property to Mode: Per vertex and under vertex Kiosk select the desired mode for the vertex.
Use the pick position from the viewport action to more easily select the camera lock point.
After all the vertices are set, the path camera will change when you press play.
Animations
Animations are a powerful tool that can help visualize the flow of materials and products in a manufacturing environment. With the ability to create a progressive path and animate the flow.
Creating a progressive path for the animation involves defining the sequence of operations that occur during the manufacturing process. This can include the movement of raw materials, the assembly of parts, and the packaging and shipping of finished products. By mapping out the flow of materials and products, manufacturers can better understand the overall process and identify opportunities for optimization.
In addition to identifying areas for improvement, animations can also be used to train new employees or demonstrate complex manufacturing processes to customers or investors. By visualizing the process in a clear and engaging way, animations can help communicate the value of the product or service being produced and build confidence in the manufacturing process.

Use Cases
How to Introduce Employees to Material Flow?
This will be your foundation tool for your lean material delivery system and it’s in one place adding flexibility for designing the right Material Flows.
Path manager and Markups will help you avoid poor delivery route design. Material delivery route is a part of the whole production line.
How to Add Points of Interest?
There are points of interest in every factory. Mark key places to stay in sync with other users of your organization.
The type of Markups allows you to decide what icon will be visible in the viewport and visually describe the key areas. Add as many as you need.
