IoT Manager
Beginner's Guide to Moicon
What does this article cover?
The IoT Manager feature is part of the Enterprise Custom License. If you want to get the best out of IoT feature please Contact Us Here.
Sensor tuning allows them to be adapted to application-specific purposes, allowing them to accurately calculate motion, temperature, humidity, pressure, proximity, level, acceleration, angular rate, and air quality.
Sensors send captured data to Moicon cloud server. The information is then forwarded to the Moicon App, giving you immediate access to all the equipment you are tracking in your operations.
Continuous monitoring of the associated metrics allows for processes to be optimized over time.
If you connect IoT devices or sensors to Room you will be able to see data coming from the endpoint. All data can be shaped by using particles and colors.
Toggle Visibility
Click on IoT Manager and toggle ON the switch.
Rooms and Volumes
IoT rooms that help visualize data in 3D space are designed to enhance the monitoring and analysis of Internet of Things (IoT) devices and their associated data. The recent provide more control and convenience in managing and visualizing the data.
Create a Room to add the data set. Additional Volumes are optional.
'Active' switch: allows you to activate or deactivate individual rooms within the IoT visualization system. When a room is deactivated, its data may not be displayed. This feature enables you to focus on specific rooms or exclude certain rooms from the visualization based on your requirements.
'Name visible' switch: the visibility of room name labels in the 3D space. Turning this switch on will display the names associated with each room, making it easier to identify and differentiate them in the visualization. Conversely, turning it off will hide the room names, providing a cleaner view of the 3D space.
Switch at section level: allowing you to quickly enable or disable all rooms within a specific section of the IoT visualization. It provides a convenient way to toggle the visibility or inclusion of multiple rooms in one action, streamlining the management of data and visualization settings.
Double-clicking on a room: either in the 3D viewport or the tree view, triggers a fit-to-view action. This action adjusts the camera position or zoom level in the 3D space to focus on the selected room. It helps you quickly navigate and center your view on specific rooms of interest for closer examination or analysis.
Add Custom Property - IoT
With custom properties you can create IoT field and assign data for specific Room.
Input Data hub, Data source, Data type, Data binding and Sensor Id to connect sensor data with specific Room. With Position, Rotation and Size you can set your box of the particles in right place and size.
Specify density to see particles more clearly.
Graph Charts
Go back to IoT Manager and from now on you can monitor real world data on daily basis.
Use Cases
Visualize IoT Sensor Data
Creating a Visual representation of data in the form of particles, their density and color will allow you to accurately assess the conditions in the factory.
We use a whole range of sensor types, and these are just some of the ways to use them. Access sensor data from anywhere, analyze graphs, get information about your factory condition and accidents before they happen.
